GridA field instrument for mission state.

Grid explores how a compact field instrument can bring mission time, activity, and environmental context together in a single glance. Its clear circular interface is being developed around the realities of use beyond the lab.

Six instrument apps

NOW, EVA, SUIT, RETURN, SHADOW, and COMMS organize device diagnostics, activity timing, environmental context, navigation scenarios, and communications state. A separate emergency transition is available through a two-button hold.

Hardware and controls

Grid is taking shape on a compact circular-screen development platform. Physical controls lead the interaction; touch supports faster access when conditions allow.

Clear data sources

Device readings are separated from estimates and modeled mission context. Suit status, navigation scenarios, and remote communications are simulated so the interface can be explored without implying real operational data.

Development status

A working on-device build is in active review. Current development is focused on display readability, interaction, connectivity, and power behavior.

Prototype scope. MFW-01 is an experimental display and interaction prototype. It is not flight or safety equipment, and it does not provide operational navigation, radiation, or life-support measurements.
